A Day At The Fair
| Mr. Magick arrives in his groovy new
car to have pleasant Day at the Fair. Although seeking a parking space in the Dodge 'Em Car arena is probably not one of his best ideas. |

A neat turn of the wheel and he's in, but a rather cavalier attitude to reverse parking could cause a problem or two. |
|
First stop - a visit to some very distant cousins working as Carnies, Krusty and Bozo. Not long spent with these fellows due to their rudeness of constant yawning. Well, that's the family-duty done. On to more exciting things. |

He can be Good, Bad but never Ugly Quick-draw-with-a-rifle (is that actually possible?) "action shot". Mr. Magick engages in one of his favourite pastimes - shooting at ugly stuffed toys. Knowing that his somewhat inadequate stature may cause difficulty with the handling of the provided rifles, he brought his own. He's been told to aim at the tin ducks - but that simply isn't as much fun. |
Oh my God! A giant bird! Mr. Magick and the chook eye each other off in a strange manly display of chest-puffing. But then - who's the one in the cage?! The Little Man chuckles and moves on . . . |

Hello, here's trouble . . . The real reason we're here. This charming, but unfortunate, ceramic lady in purple doing time in the glass prison has Mr. M enchanted. Naturally he gives a little "legal advice" (the flashy suit and top hat have her fooled) and promises to get those trumped up charges dropped. |
|
Another fan! This nice lady spied the shining personality of Mr. M from just feet away and felt compelled to enquire about his unique style. Yeah, we couldn't believe it, either. |

He just can't help himself, can he! What he's up to in a bucket full of small stuffed toys is anyone's guess but they seemed to be attracted to him. Some kind of mysterious Jim Jones effect, maybe? At any rate, the stall holder isn't impressed (obviously not the religious type) and ousts the Guru from this particular domain's seat of power. |
|
Caught with his hand in the till! But when the Devil-lady saw his infectious smile, she let him off with a warning - and the promise of her Soul. The Fan-count rises yet again. |

So we want to try farming, do we? Nice idea, but the thought of those spindly legs getting mangled in the whizzing belts and spinning wheels, not to mention a face-full of stinky steam and fumes, is enough to scare off anyone with the delicate temperament the like of Mr. M. |
|
Forever the animal lover, except if they're ugly stuffed mock-ups, Mr. Magick has a little sit-down and shares some of his philosophy with one of the prize specimens of the Royal Adelaide Show. |

The "Duty Shot" - to prove he was
there.
We know, we took the damn picture! Not a "rides person" certainly, but he does love the colour and movement of these contraptions - unfortunately his shatterability makes indulging in gut wrenching, mind frazzling fun an impossibility. At this point, it should be noted that Mr. Magick was in no way responsible for any rides that may have "come amiss" during this year's (or any other year for that matter) Royal Show. Honestly! |
